Peer Review Process
In submitting works to the journal, authors agree that their works may be published (if accepted). Submission does not guarantee acceptance. The journal follows the double-blind peer-review system where neither the author nor the reviewer is aware of the other’s identity. The Editor first reviews each submission to determine whether or not it is suitable to be sent out to the Editorial Board. If the submission is not suitable, the Editor either rejects the submission or returns the submission to the Editorial Board for further screening. After getting consent from the Editorial Board, the submission undergoes review process. Reviewers are asked to evaluate whether the manuscript:
- Is original
- Makes clear links to themes and sub-themes of the journal
- Makes theoretical or substantive contribution to the research knowledge
- Is methodologically sound
- Follows ethical guidelines
- Has results that are clearly presented and support the conclusions
- Correctly refers to previous relevant works and contribution
Reviewers are not expected to correct or copyedit manuscripts. Language correction is not part of the peer-review process. Works are evaluated by at least 2 reviewers and, following their indications, will be accepted, returned to the authors for corrections, or rejected. If two reviewers provide different opinion on any article, then the article will be sent to a 3rd reviewer. The Editorial Board will take decision based on the 3rd reviewer’s feedback. Any member of the Editorial Board is not involved in the reviewing process. The final decision is at the sole discretion of the Editorial Board.
